A STUDY OF THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD
Rev. 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was,
and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which
are before his throne;
Rev. 3:1 And unto the angel of the
church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the
seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works,
that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Rev. 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings
and thunderings and voices: and there were seven
lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are
the seven Spirits of God.
Rev. 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the
throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood
a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and
seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into
all the earth.
Seven lamps of Fire Burning Are The
Seven Spirits of God
A Lamp: glows, emits
light, radiates, can be seen and etc.
A fire: consumes,
purifies, emits heat, radiates warmth and can glow. {All represent The Holy
Ghost}
[seven horns and seven eyes]
Not
seven titles of the Holy Spirit, for there are more titles than this that are
applied to the Spirit. Since the Lamb has the seven horns and seven eyes, since
we know there is but one Holy Spirit (Ephes. 4:4-6), and since the Lamb is
a symbol of Christ, the seven lamps of fire (Rev. 4:5), the
seven horns, and seven eyes are all symbolic of the one Holy
Spirit and can only denote His fullness and power
upon the Lamb and before the throne (John 3:34; Isaiah 11:2;
Isaiah 42:1-7; Isaiah 61:1-2; Acts 10:38).
Ephes. 4:4-6 There is one body, and one
Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; [5] One
Lord, one faith, one baptism, [6] One God and Father of all,
who is above all, and through all, and in you
all. [in you all = that
have repented of your sins and that confess Jesus The Christ as your Lord and
Saviour]
1. One body, the church (The Family of God)
2. One Spirit, the Holy Spirit
3. One hope, the Christian calling
4. One Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ
5. One faith, the gospel form of doctrine
6. One baptism, a baptism into the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:13; Galatians 3:27; Col. 2:12; Romans 6:3-7)
7. One God, the Father of all
Many parts of the Body of God!
1 Cor. 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the
hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? [16] And if the
ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore
not of the body?
1 Cor. 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body,
which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
[those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary]
The apostle no doubt refers to the inward parts, as the
heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, stomach, and other ungraceful parts of the body,
which seem to us to be more delicate and feeble. Hence, these parts are not only covered, but
are surrounded and protected by the outward parts upon which we openly bestow
much honor. Upon the proper performance
of these inward parts life itself depends.
1 Cor. 12:23 And those members of the body, which
we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and
our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
[we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more
abundant honour]
Those members of the body which we think are not so honorable, we bestow special care upon, and those members of the body that are unpresentable we treat with greater care and attention than we do our features which do not require as much attention.
[uncomely]
Greek: aschemon (GSN-809), shapeless; unseemly; shameful. Upon these parts of the body we bestow more abundant elegance and grace
Therefore, it is the same with God The Heavenly Father,
Each Child of God is a part (MEMBER) of the FAMILY of God, each
having their own
individual work to do while he is in this life, as well as when he gets
to Heaven.
As many snowflakes
that have fallen from the beginning of the time and have fallen upon the earth
and not a one is identical to the other, each being entirely different then the
other. In the same manner (respect), each human being upon the face of the
earth is different then the other, but yet each is created in the image and
likeness of Almighty God, each doing his own work, each having his own spirit
and soul and if or should that human being repent of his sins (transgressions
against God), he then, by the blood of Jesus
Christ becomes a member of the family of God. While in doing so, by the
remission of his sins, that human being also becomes a member (a part of) The
Spirit of Almighty God and joint heirs with Jesus The Christ, because he has
put on Jesus Christ The Son of God. As long as, the individual does NOT
transgress (sin) against Almighty God in any way, Jesus The Christ and Almighty
God The Heavenly Father by the Power of the Holy Ghost will remain (dwell)
within that individual’s soul (heart) (Galatians 3:27).
Hard to Comprehend!
As hard as it may be
to humanly visualize or comprehend, there are as many different, good, Holy,
righteous, Spirits (Holy Angels) throughout God’s Heaven’s and the same could
also be said pertaining to evil spirits (un-holy, unclean angels).
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into
Christ have put on Christ.
[baptized into Christ]
The element that one is baptized into determines what kind of baptism is referred to in the various scriptures. This is baptism "into Christ" (Galatians 3:27; Romans 6:2-8; Col. 2:12) and into His body (1 Cor. 12:13), not a baptism into water. Is Christ water? If not, then this is not baptism into water, for it is into Christ. See Matthew 3:6.
[put on Christ]
To put on Christ means to be clothed with Him; to assume His person and character; and to act the part and sustain the character of Christ in daily life (Galatians 5:24; 2 Cor. 5:17-18; Romans 6:1-14; Romans 8:1-13). To profess Christianity is to take on the life and works of Christ, follow in His steps, and do His works (John 14:12-15; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 Peter 4:1-2; Romans 13:14).
Ephes. 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which
after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
[put on]
Greek: enduo (GSN-1746), to be clothed with, as in notice Luke 24:49; 1 Thes. 5:8. The new nature must be put on and it must manifest righteousness and true holiness (Ephes. 4:23-24).
[the new man, which after God is created in righteousness
and true holiness]
This is the Spirit and nature of God in the renewed man (Ephes. 4:23-24; 2 Peter 1:4; Romans 8:9, 14-16).
[holiness]
Greek: hosiotes (GSN-3742), here and in Luke 1:75.
Seven Horns and Seven eyes Are
The Seven Spirits of God
Rev. 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the
throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood
a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which
are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
The Seven Stars are
the angels of the Seven churches
Rev. 1:20 The mystery of the
seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven
golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven
churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are
the seven churches.
The Seven Candlesticks are
The Seven churches
Candlesticks are to
be lit and The light (Jesus Christ) shines the way for others in their meeting
places (churches) having fellowship with God The Heavenly Father!
Go ye:
Matthew 22:9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find,
bid to the marriage.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Food for thought pertaining to the above scripture and those which
claim (oneness only hypocrites’) that Jesus Christ is also God The Heavenly
Father!
If you will notice
(Matthew 28:19) it was Jesus Christ The Lord that made the statement of command
giving his instructions pertaining to water baptism. Therefore (the
point is), if Jesus The Christ were also God The Heavenly Father, why
are you disobeying him pertaining to Water Baptism? Why do you disobey
His instructions as in Matthew 28:19?
Please continue!
[therefore ...]
In view of My authority, I commission you with full power of attorney to carry on the work that I have started (notice John 16:23).
Great
Commission Fourfold:
1. Go. This applies to all believers, not only preachers. The invitation to salvation is for all alike, so why should not the responsibility of getting the invitation to others be for all alike? We have the same rights, privileges, promises, and provision for equipment for service, so all should help in every possible way to evangelize the world according to our ability and direction from God. There is no excuse for millions of church members leaving this work to only a few who seek to obey the Great Commission.
2. Teach (Greek: matheteuo (GSN-3100), to make disciples, enroll as a learner or pupil). Used only here and in Matthew 13:52; Matthew 27:57; Acts 14:21. Not the ordinary word for teaching, as in point 4 below.
3. Baptize all disciples. See note, Matthew 3:6 and note, Acts 8:38.
4. Teaching (Greek: didasko (GSN-1321), give instruction). It is translated "teach" 93 times. The idea here is more that of instructing than of enrolling disciples to be taught.
[in the name of]
This means "by the authority of." Here it means by the authority of all three persons and not by the authority of Jesus only. He is the one authorizing us to recognize the others as well as Himself. This will help us to understand Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 10:48; Acts 19:5. It is by the authority of Jesus Christ that we baptize at all, and it is by His authority that we baptize in the name of (by the authority of) all three persons.
[Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost]
Some argue that these are not names, but the
dictionary says that the word name is "any word" or "title"
by which any person or thing is known.
This is not just any Father, any Son, or any Holy Ghost, but it is the
Father of Jesus Christ, and the Son of the Father, and The Holy Ghost, The
third person of the Divine Three. Any
Bible reader would know who these three persons are if mentioned by these names
in any scripture. But as usual, there are some that think that they know more
then The Almighty Himself does (Job
38:4, 18, 40:7, 42:4; Psalms 2:7 and in Isaiah 3:9 The
shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare
their sin as Sodom, they hide it not.
Woe unto their soul! for they have
rewarded evil unto themselves. )
More of the lesson!
The Seven Stars
Rev. 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars:
and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his
countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
Deut. 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among
their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he
shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Acts 3:22-26 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A
prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like
unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto
you. [23] And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not
hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
[24] Yea, and all the
prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have
likewise foretold of these days. [25] Ye are the children of the prophets,
and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto
Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the
earth be blessed. [26] Unto you first God, having raised up his
Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of
you from his iniquities.
Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth
as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless
as doves. [17] But beware of men: for they will
deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
[18] And ye shall be brought before governors and kings
for my sake, for a testimony against them and the
Gentiles. [19] But when they deliver you up,
take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be
given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. [20] For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father
which speaketh in you.
Matthew 10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and
the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and
cause them to be put to death. [22] And ye shall
be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall
be saved. [23] But when they persecute you in
this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have
gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
Matthew 10:24 The disciple is not
above his master, nor the servant above his lord. [25] It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and
the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub,
how much more shall they call them of his household? [26] Fear them not therefore:
for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall
not be known. [27] What I tell you in darkness,
that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the
housetops. [28] And fear not them which kill
the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him
which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know
assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have
crucified, both Lord and Christ.
I will put my spirit within you
Ezekiel 36:25-27 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you,
and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will
I cleanse you. [26] A new heart also will I give you, and a new
spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart
out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. [27] And I will
put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye
shall keep my judgments, and do them.
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first
day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled
for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. [20] And when he had so said, he
shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when
they saw the Lord. [21] Then said Jesus to them again, Peace
be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. [22] And
when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
[23] Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto
them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
[first day of the week]
This and John 20:26; Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2 disprove the
theory that no Christian gathering ever took place on Sunday or the first day of the week. From John 20:19 and John 20:26 it is clear
that Christ honored this day twice to meet with His disciples. Then, too, Pentecost fell on the first day of the week and they had
gathered at least one other first day during the ten days of waiting for the
Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:1-8; Acts 2:1).
Christians have been gathering ever since on the first day or Sunday
(Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:1-2).
Behold I give you power
Luke 10:17-20 And the seventy returned again with joy,
saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. [18] And he
said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from
heaven. [19] Behold, I give unto you power
to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all
the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
[20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the
spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written
in heaven.
Because God “IS” a Spirit
God sent the Holy Ghost unto the repentant born again believer
1 Cor. 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I
would not have you ignorant. [2] Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away
unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. [3] Wherefore I give you to
understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:
and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. [4] Now
there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
[5] And there are
differences of administrations, but the same Lord. [6] And there are
diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. [7]
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. [8]
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of
knowledge by the same Spirit; [9] To another faith by the same Spirit; to
another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1 Cor. 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to
another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of
tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: [11] But all these
worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he
will.
[12] For as the body
is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being
many, are one body: so also is Christ. [13] For by one Spirit are we all
baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or
free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1 Cor. 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
[15] If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is
it therefore not of the body? [16] And if the ear shall say, Because I am not
the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? [17] If the
whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing,
where were the smelling? [18] But now hath God set the members every one of
them in the body, as it hath pleased him. [19] And if they were all one member,
where were the body? [20] But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1 Cor. 12:21-27 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have
no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. [22]
Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are
necessary: [23] And those members of the body, which we think to be less
honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts
have more abundant comeliness. [24] For our comely parts have no need: but
God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that
part which lacked: [25] That there should be no schism in the body; but
that the members should have the same care one for another. [26] And whether
one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured,
all the members rejoice with it. [27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and
members in particular.
God’s reason is:
1 Cor. 12:28 And God hath set some in the church,
first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles,
then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. [29] Are
all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
[30] Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all
interpret? [31] But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I
unto you a more excellent way. [13:1] Though I speak with the tongues of
men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a
tinkling cymbal. [2] And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all
mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could
remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. [3] And though I bestow
all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have
not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
It is for, the edification of people (saints of God)
and that they might receive Heaven as their final Home
and that they be A glory unto Almighty
God! Amen and amen!
