ARK OF THE COVENANT - PART I

The Abomination of Desolation

[the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod] "The hand of the Lord," as used in both testaments, expresses the power of God (1 Samuel 5:6-11; 1 Samuel 7:13; Exodus 3:20; Exodus 9:3; Exodus 32:11; Numbers 11:23; Deut. 2:15; Judges 2:15; Acts 4:28-30; Acts 11:21).  See Eight Miracles Because of the Ark.

 

[emerods] Hebrew:  €ophel (HSN-6076), tumor; emerod; from €aphal (HSN-6075), to swell.  Emerod is an old spelling of the modern hemorrhoid (bleeding piles, 1 Samuel 5:6,9,12; 1 Samuel 6:4-5,11,17; Deut. 28:27).

 

1 Samuel 4:22-7:15  And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken. [5:1] And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Eben-ezer unto Ashdod. [2] When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. [3] And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. [4] And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

 

[5] Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day. [6] But the hand of the Lord was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.

 

[7] And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god. [8] They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.

 

[9] And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the Lord was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. [10] Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. [11] So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there. [12] And the men that died not were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven. [6:1] And the ark of the Lord was in the country of the Philistines seven months.

 

[2] And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the Lord? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place. [3] And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

 

[4] Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords. [5] Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land. [6] Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?

 

[7] Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them: [8] And take the ark of the Lord, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go. [9] And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Beth-shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.

 

[10] And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home: [11] And they laid the ark of the Lord upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods. [12] And the kine took the straight way to the way of Beth-shemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Beth-shemesh. [13] And they of Beth-shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it. [14] And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Beth-shemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the Lord.

 

15] And the Levites took down the ark of the Lord, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the Lord. [16] And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.

 

[17] And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the Lord; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one; [18] And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the Lord: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth-shemite.

 

[19] And he smote the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the Lord, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter. [20] And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? and to whom shall he go up from us? [21] And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the Lord; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.

[7:1] And the men of Kirjath-jearim came, and brought up the ark of the Lord, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the Lord.

 

[2] And it came to pass, while the ark abode in Kirjath-jearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord.

 

[3] And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines. [4] Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the Lord only.

 

[5] And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the Lord. [6] And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the Lord, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the Lord. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.

 

[7] And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.

 

[8] And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the Lord our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines. [9] And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord: and Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel; and the Lord heard him. [10] And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.

 

[11] And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth-car.

 

[12] Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

 

[13] So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel. [14] And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts thereof did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites. [15] And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

It was found in the Cave which “is” STILL under the Hill, called Golgotha (called the place of the skull, because of so many crucifixions were being done there), also called “Calvary”, Calvary’s Hill

Daniel 9:27 (especially, pertaining to the Anti-Christ)

 

Daniel 9:20-10:18  And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God; [21] Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

 

[22] And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. [23] At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

 

[24] Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

 

[25] Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. [26] And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

 

[27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

 

[10:1] In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

 

[2] In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. [3] I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. [4] And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;

 

[5] Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: [6] His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

 

(Pause: for thought and comment; This voice (words) could have been the voice of God Himself, because The Voice that sounded, sounded The Same, when God spoke to the people, when Moses was on the Mount and the people said “let NOT God speak to us Moses, God will kill us” Exodus 20:18-26).

 

[7] And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. [8] Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. [9] Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. [10] And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. [11] And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

 

[12] Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. [13] But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. [14] Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. [15] And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. [16] And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. [17] For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. [18] Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,

 

The “revelation” I saw (realized, comprehended), came to me by reasoning!

 

This midmorning I received a revelation pertaining to the finding of The Ark of The Covenant of God) which came to my mind, while my wife and I were discussing The Ark of the Covenant according to 1st Samuel 4:22-7:15; Daniel 9:27. 

 

I perceived The Ark of The Covenant of The Almighty being brought out of its hiding place and placed in its proper location in Solomon’s Temple (David’s Temple) in Israel that The Temple of Almighty “Yahweh” “Jehovah” WILL NOT, share His Own Sovereignty (pureness, cleanliness) with EVIL and that which is un-holy and un-clean! However!

 

“HEED THE WARNING!”

 

In the last days

people are being deceived

The Anti-christ (false christ) will have an imitation (a look alike) ark of the covenant made

To convince the people!

 

That “he,” the antichrist, imitation Christ, imitation messiah, false Christ can touch the (false) ark, deceiving the people into thinking that the (false) ark and the reason that he (the antichrist) can touch the ark and convince the people that he is The Almighty God himself!  Further he will come and go in the presence of the “false ark” which stands in the holy Temple “without” being struck dead!  

 

“Be not deceived because”

God is not mocked, (Galatians 6:7)

and it is a Fact!

 

The “TRUE” Ark of the Covenant of God “WILL” be removed from its hiding place and put on display for all of Israel to see, according to the laws, limitations, Statues and Standards written (recorded) in the Holy Writ (Orals of God) .

 

Whereas, The (REAL, TRUE) Ark of The Covenant of Almighty God will be brought out of hiding and Jesus The Christ (True Messiah) will return from Heaven with His Saints (wearing His Blood stained Vesture, Talliet, Prayer Shawl, Rev. 19:13) and steps on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:1-5) and enters the Eastern Gate (Ezekiel chapters 43-46) for all Israel to see. It is then that Christ the REAL Messiah, The King of King’s and Lord of Lord’s will sit on the Throne of David.         

 

Ezekiel 43:4  And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.

 

Ezekiel 44:1  Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.

[Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut] Then—after being informed about the dedication of the altar, the prophet was brought back to the east gate.  He found it shut, not to be opened anymore to the general public, except on sabbaths and new moons (Ezekiel 46:1-3), because of God entering through it in His return to earth and the new millennial temple (Ezekiel 44:1-2).  It was to be for the private use of the prince though, that he might go in and out while living in the chamber of the east gate (Ezekiel 44:3).

 

Come quickly Lord Jesus!

 

Ezekiel 46:1-7  Thus saith the Lord God; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. [2] And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

 

[3] Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the Lord in the sabbaths and in the new moons. [4] And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto the Lord in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish. [5] And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah. [6] And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish. [7] And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

 

Ezekiel 46:8-10  And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof. [9] But when the people of the land shall come before the Lord in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it. [10] And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in, shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth.

 

The time is at hand and is about to happen, further it is in the process of taking place!
