BINDING AND LOOSENING – PART I

[Matthew 16:13-18]  When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? [14] And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. [15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? [16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. [18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Jesus Christ built His Church on the Solid Rock of Revealed Knowledge of His Heavenly Father and The Precious Blood that Jesus Christ shed for the remission of sins and NOT on Apostle Peter. Apostle Peter did NOT shed his blood for the remission of sins on the Cross of Calvary. Apostle Peter did not arise unto newness of Life the third day to sit at the Heavenly Fathers right side in Heaven! Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son of God did!

So, what was Jesus revealing to Simon Barjona?

Simon Barjona understood (perceived, because The Heavenly Father had revealed “it” to him), that Jesus was and still is,  “The Christ” meaning The Holy Anointed One, The Son of The Living God of Heaven! Also, Jesus was revealing to Simon Barjona the he (Simon) was a blessed man because The Heavenly Father “Himself” had revealed that knowledge to him (Simon). Jesus was also showing Simon Barjona that he (Simon) could NOT have perceived (understood) that information (knowledge) by himself “without” The Heavenly Father blessing Simons mind for Simon to understand that Jesus is The Christ, The Son of the Living God!

Jesus, went on to explain to Simon that upon this “rock” (“rock of revealed knowledge”), I (Jesus) will build My Church. Jesus Christ is the Solid Rock! Jesus then said to Simon Barjona “thou art “Peter,” “rock” of revealed knowledge from The Heavenly Father, the type of “rock” that is stable, firm, long standing, durable and the kind that remains. Even the gates of HELL cannot prevail against the REVEALED KNOWLEDGE OF ALMIGHTY GOD!

Even though the name “Peter” means “rock,” Jesus was NOT telling Simon Barjona (Peter), that Jesus was going to build His (Christ’s), church on “Peter.”

Jesus was explaining to Simon that He (Jesus) was going to build His (Jesus) Church upon the Solid Rock of Revealed Knowledge from The Heavenly Father! Therefore Jesus Christ is the Solid Rock (Himself) on which we are to build upon (our temples of clay, within which we are to invite our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to dwell)!

Jesus is also showing us by the power of the Holy Ghost (revealing to our minds) that we can be blessed of The Heavenly Father also if, we will humble ourselves and receive the Holy Devine Revealed Knowledge From Almighty God our Heavenly Father, even in this day and time! [Romans 12:2]

We must believe Him in order to receive from Him that we might be blessed of Him! Our Heavenly Father is not limited in any way or by any means. We humans’ limit ourselves by refusing to accept the blessings that He has for us. [Matthew 13:58]  And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living God of Heaven, gave ALL of His disciples the KEYS

of

Binding and loosening!

The Heavenly Father reveals His Holy Revealed Knowledge to every true born again believer in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Ghost HOW to bind, loosen and how to use all of the other Keys that The Heavenly Father will bestow upon us, the true born again believer in Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living God of Heaven!

The keys!

[Matthew 16:19]  And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. [20]  Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

[thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven] Not to Peter only, for the same power is promised all believers (Matthew 17:20; Matthew 18:18; Matthew 21:22; Mark 9:23; Mark 11:22-24; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 10:19; John 14:12-15; John 15:7, 16; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 5:32; 1 Cor. 12).

[keys of the kingdom of heaven] Keys are a symbol of authority (Isaiah 22:22; Rev. 3:7).  Here they mean authority and power to do the works of Christ (Matthew 18:18; Matthew 16:15-20; John 14:12-15).  Whatever He bound and loosed is the true idea.

[bind on earth shall be bound in heaven]

Binding

1.   Men with chains (Matthew 12:29; Matthew 14:3; Matthew 22:13; Mark 5:3; Acts 9:2,14,21)

2.   Tares in bundles (Matthew 13:30)

3.   Men and women by Satan's power, (Luke 13:16)

4.   Men with obligations (Acts 20:22)

5.   Men in marriage bonds (Romans 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:27, 39)

6.   Satan and angels in chains (Rev. 9:14; Rev. 20:2)

7.   Animals in chains (Matthew 21:2)

8.   Men by God's power (Matthew 16:19; Matthew 18:18)

[loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven]

Loosing

1.   Infirmities (Luke 13:12-16; Mark 7:35)

2.   Satan and angels from chains (Rev. 9:14; Rev. 20:3, 7)

3.   Men from chains and prison (Acts 16:26; Acts 22:30; Acts 24:26)

4.   Men from sin (Rev. 1:5)

5.   Men from bonds of death (Acts 2:24)

6.   Marriage bonds (1 Cor. 7:27)

7.   Satanic powers (1 John 3:8)

8.   Animals (Mark 11:2-4)

9.   Earth from bondage and the curse (2 Peter 3:10-13; Romans 8:21)

10. Men by God's power (Matthew 16:19; Matthew 18:18).

One can see from these examples of binding and loosing that it means more than declaring something lawful or unlawful by preaching. It also means to confirm the truth (Jesus Christ), as the apostles did by honoring His word.

[Matthew 18:18]  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Jesus I know and Paul I know but!

Warning, Caution!

Unless you are a true born again Child of God, truly saved, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God, one that has truly repented of your sins and washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ (The Lamb of God), do NOT go anywhere binding and loosening BY YOUR OWN AUTHORITY! Binding and loosening can only be achieved in the name and by the precious Blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living God of Heaven!

Immediately below Scriptures explains some of the reasons not to!

Heed the warnings!

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, “exorcists,” took upon “themselves” to call over to them which had “evil spirits” the name of the Lord Jesus, even though the “exorcists” did NOT know Jesus Christ The Son of God and they did NOT know Apostle Paul. The “exorcists” (more the one of them) had only heard the name of Jesus Christ and Paul but they had never repented of their sins or confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour or had been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

The “exorcists” being evil and possessing evil spirits “themselves,” thought they could use, cry out loudly, or shout out the name of Jesus Christ and the name of Paul and the evil spirits (sickness and diseases), would leave or come out of those which had the sickness and diseases.

Many people of todays’ time have heard the name of Jesus Christ, but they have never met Him or repented of their sins and confessed Him as their Lord and Saviour. The Precious Blood of Jesus Christ is applied to our hearts and souls at the time of our receiving Christ as our Lord and Saviour and especially when we are baptized in water (submerged) as a public confession to all (outward sign to others of the inward cleansing of your soul) that Jesus Christ has washed your sins away by the Blood of the Lamb of God.

The water itself doesn’t cleanse your soul, the Blood of Jesus Christ does! The water (in water baptism), represents the Blood of Jesus Christ!

Some people claim to be “exorcists!”

Exorcists, like many people today that do NOT know Jesus Christ as their lord and Saviour, still think that they can worship Lucifer the devil and can imitate, mock and act like “the devil” and have power, authority over unclean, evil Satanic spirits which cause sickness, disease and many afflictions but not all! Evil spirits can cause the accident but not always the affliction or injury!

[Exorcists = means, an action of the Spirit of Lucifer, Satan that attempts to expel, command or cast out of another that has evil spirit(s)!]

[Acts 19:11-15]  And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: [12] So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. [13] Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. [14] And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. [15] And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? {adjure means horkizo, hor-kid'-zo; from Greek 3727 (horkos); to put on oath, i.e. make swear; by analogy to solemnly enjoin, adjure, charge to leave!}

[Acts 19:16-19]  And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. [17] And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. [18] And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. [19] Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Just because you claim to be a born again Child of God does NOT make you one!

You must actually be one, in Word and deed, before you can go to Heaven, bind or loosen!

A person cannot live like the devil, act like the devil, dress like they serve the devil, talk evil, dirty, filthy talk, foul mouthed, serve the devil, calling Almighty God by any un-holy name or anything that they want to and be a TRUE, Blood bought, born again child of Almighty God at the same time. If you are living that way, I dearly suggest that you repent and confess Jesus Christ as your lord and Saviour (if you can)!

A person that is NOT a TRUE born again child of God, CANNOT cast out Satan the devil!

Satan cannot cast out Satan! But The blood of Jesus Christ can and every TRUE blood bought child of God can, in the precious name of Jesus Christ, because they have TRULY repented of their sins and have been washed in The Blood of The Lamb of God!

[Matthew 12:22-26]  Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. [23] And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? [24] But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. [25] And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: [26] And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Matthew 12:27-31  And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. [28] But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. [29] Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. [30] He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. [31] Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

[Matthew 12:32]  And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

[speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him] Explaining what blasphemy is.  It is any insulting remark(s) or curse, against the Holy Ghost, even attributing to Satan the works of the Holy Spirit.  It is unforgivable if it is done maliciously and knowingly, as here and in Hebrews 6:4-9; Hebrews 10:26-31; 1 Tim. 1:13.

How, What, When, Where, Why and Who?

Qualifications for Binding and loosening!

The person or persons that are binding and loosening requires sanctification on the part of the person or persons binding or loosening! The person that is binding or loosening does not bind or loose someone just for the purpose of binding or loosening them for their own personal desires or worldly gain (or anyone elses’ for that matter)!

Sanctification is being set apart “from” living like the devil, acting like the devil, speaking like the devil and playing with the things of the devil (things of the world), such as evil, wicked, violent living, swearing or cussing, cuttings’ about a persons’ body deliberately and “being set apart unto a Jesus Christ,” like attitude, such as holiness, (not just claim holiness unto Jesus Christ but in actuality), because of being born again unto Jesus Christ and actually living a holy life the same way that Jesus Christ did while He was on earth and that He still does in the Holy Spirit.

Being set apart unto Jesus Christ in all Holiness without which no man shall see God! [Hebrews 12:14]  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

[Romans 6:22]  But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

[2 Cor. 7:1]  Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

[Ephes. 4:24]  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

[1 Thes. 3:13]  To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

[1 Thes. 4:7]  For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

[1 Tim. 2:15]  Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

[Titus 2:3]  The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

[Exodus 29:44]  And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest's office.

[Exodus 30:29]  And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.

[Exodus 31:13]  Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.

It is the Lord God of Heaven that does the Sanctifying of us unto His Holiness and His Righteousness, but we (you and I) must be obedient unto Him in all faithfulness, humbly, desiring, hungering and thirsting after His righteousness, peace and joy!

The Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb of God are the ones that God gives the Authority to Bind and loosen in His Precious name of Jesus Christ and Whatever or Whoever is bound or loosen on earth is also bound or loosened in Heaven! No one that is evil or that is NOT redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb of God can use or have the authority to use the Precious Name of Jesus Christ. They must know Him personally and confess Christ from their heart. Almighty God or Jesus Christ the only Begotten Son of God will always honor His own word but He will NOT necessarily honor the person that spoke or speaks it!

What are we to bind or loosen?

We are to bind all: that is un-holy, un-clean, un-righteous, evil, wicked, and foul, that has the appearance of evil, that which causes danger to the soul, body! That is against the Holy teachings of God and that are an abomination of God!

We are to bind “all” that is evil in The Name and by The Blood of “Jesus Christ,” The Only Begotten Son of Almighty God!

When, are we to bind that which is evil?

We are to bind all: as soon as we recognize them (evil). We are to bind them as soon as we perceive them!

How, are we to bind the evil?

As TRUE born again believers of (in) Jesus Christ, we are to speak the “Word(s) of God” when we bind or loosen in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Jesus “spoke” The “Word” saying “it is written” when He was being tempted of the devil. Therefore we born again believers are to speak “it is written” as well!

The “Word(s)” that Jesus Christ spoke are Spirit (John 6:63) and we born again believers by speaking the “Word(s)” of God, The “Word(s)” that we speak are “Spirit” also, because we are created in the image of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ! Allalujah!

When the Heavenly Father created this world, He “SPOKE” it into existence. When Jesus Christ comes back from Heaven and steps foot on the Mt. of Olives, He will destroy the enemy with the brightness of His coming and by the “Word(s) of God” (Zech. 14:4-5; Matthew 25:31; 2 Thes. 1:7-10; Jude 1:14-15; Rev. 19:11-21; 2nd Thess. 2:8). We born again believers will overcome the enemy by the word of our testimony (Rev. 7:14, 12:11). Therefore we must “Speak the Word of God” without fail!

Do not let the enemy pass, do not sympathize or feel sorry for evil Spirits, do not pacify them, do not allow familiar spirits to speak, Speak the “Word(s) of God” sharply to them, but command them audibly, out loud, with your mouth (without shouting), but firmly and with authority, commanding them to hold their peace in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ!

Remember (before you as a person can do this), you cannot have any sin remaining in your life! Otherwise, evil spirits and familiar spirits can use your sin(s) to blackmail you (blame or accuse, use against you)! The evil spirits will use everything evil to come against you. Do not argue or contend with them, you must place all of your sins under the Blood of Jesus Christ (repent of them asking forgiveness of them) and never do them again. True Repentance is being sorry enough to never to do them again!

Do NOT allow evil spirits or familiar spirits to talk to you. You are to command them to hold their peace in the name of Jesus Christ and by the Blood of Jesus Christ. For demons (familiar spirits) to speak is peace to them, when they can destroy, cause harm, anger, destroy wonderfully, cause blame, and blame someone else for things that they done, that is being peaceful to them!

Luke 4:35  And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.

Lucifer, Satan, evil spirits, demons (familiar spirits) all know who Jesus Christ is and are afraid of Jesus Christ and the Precious Blood that Christ shed on the Cross of Calvary!

“All Satanic evil spirits know that Jesus Christ is still alive today!”

Luke 4:33-39  And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, [34] Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. [35] And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. [36] And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. [37] And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about. [38] And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. [39] And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

Binding and loosening in todays’ time!

Luke 4:40-41  Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. [41] And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

The Lord delivers us!

The Lord delivers us from all of our fears setting us free, loosening us and binding the enemy!

Psalm 34:4  I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Ten Blessings of God

1.   He answers prayer (Psalm 34:4).

2.   He delivers from all fears.

3.   He enlightens His people (Psalm 34:5).

4.   He gives His people boldness.

5.   He saves from all troubles (Psalm 34:6-7).

6.   He supplies all wants of His people (Psalm 34:9-10; Psalm 23:1; Psalm 84:11; John 15:7).

7.   He punishes the wicked to curb all sin and rid His creation of it (Psalm 34:16).

8.   He remains near the broken in heart and saves the contrite in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

9.   He redeems souls of His people (Psalm 34:22).

10. He prospers all who trust in Him.  Allalujah and glory to the Lamb of God!

Fourteen Kinds of Fear God Delivers From

1.   Fear of man (Genesis 15:1; Luke 12:5; Hebrews 13:6). Referred to 35 times in Scripture. Fear of God is referred to 160 times. We are to respect, reverence, and honor God, and have no fear of man. Man is told 80 times not to fear, referring to fears that should not distress anyone who trusts in God.

2.   Death (Genesis 21:17; Genesis 35:17; Hebrews 2:15)

3.   The future (Genesis 46:3; Genesis 50:19-21)

4.   Danger (Exodus 14:13)

5.   Idol gods (Judges 6:10; 2 Kings 17:35-38)

6.   Dreams (Job 4:14-16)

7.   Evil (Psalm 23:4; Proverbs 1:33)

8.   War (Psalm 27:3)

9.   Nothing—imaginative fear (Psalm 53:5)

10. Enemies (Psalm 118:6)

11. Punishment (Proverbs 1:26-27)

12. Darkness (Song 3:8)

13. Ghosts (Matthew 14:26)

14. Spirit of fear (2 Tim. 1:6-7)

Jesus Christ (Emmanuel) is still alive!

Luke 10:17-20  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. [18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. [19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. [20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

As Jesus Christ, The Son of our Living God gave the disciples all power and authority over all power of the enemy, He also gave that same power to every born again believer in Jesus Christ the Son of our Living God. Notice Jesus had also gave to the seventy the same power that Jesus Christ gave to everyone that has repented of their sins and has confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Follow the instructions found in Romans 10:9-14 below if you want

your name written down in heaven!

Romans 10:9-14  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

After you have repented of your sins and have confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and have been obedient unto the Lord in water baptism, “this same power and authority” that Christ gave the twelve and seventy disciples and to every TRUE born again believer as we show below and more besides, Jesus Christ bestows upon you.

Go ye into all the world!

Mark 16:15-18  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

{The they above represents = the seventy, the twelve disciples and every born again believer that has confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, (they) is not representing devils laying hands on the sick and them recovering or the devils speaking in new tongues of the Holy Ghost, because devils are NOT holy nor will devils praise the Lord Jesus Christ. Devils will acknowledge and fear the Lord Jesus Christ but they will NOT praise him! Further, any claim of speaking in the Unknown Tongues of the Holy Ghost is of the devil is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. The only language(s) that the devil knows are the various languages throughout the world “which are imitations” of The Holy Ghost! The devils languages are earthly languages and NOT Heavenly languages!} (Matt. 12:31-32).

[Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature] A command for all believers.

[world] Greek: kosmos (GSN-2889), social system (2 Peter 3:6).
