DOUBT - PART I

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Jesus Christ The Son of God was NOT stipulating, declaring or advocating to the Disciples for them to have a mind over matter (concentration of positive thinking) type attitude or thinking when they spoke to the fig tree or mountain (problem).

Jesus Christ first made the statement if you have faith! ,,,,,,,,  the next was   “and doubt not!” Therefore, we ask, what WAS Jesus Christ declaring (revealing, showing) to the Disciples or attempting to get them to understand (perceive) when they spoke to the fig tree or mountain (problems) if they were not to use mind power, positive thinking or mind over matter? Whereas, this misunderstanding is where many people of today get themselves into trouble they use man’s (man is not God) mind power, the power of positive thinking, the power of their own mind OR they submit to Satan’s power.

Jesus Christ went on, (continued) by teaching the Disciples and made the statement:

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Jesus Christ The Son of God was also declaring unto the Disciples that when you/they speak unto the fig tree, mountain (problems) it is The Heavenly Father THAT DOETH THE WORKS. Jesus was explaining to the Disciples that they were to have “FAITH” IN THE FATHER knowing that “The Heavenly Father” would do it (whatever was needed, remove the fig tree, remove the mountain (problem(s)).

What is doubt?

Doubt is: NOT believing God, NOT believing (period) and further, not believing that He (God) will do “it” (for whatever “it” is), NOT trusting God (for whatever “it” is). This is when most people will begin doing things for themselves and it will either fail or self pride will take over, simply because they have NOT sought the will of God in the matter.

“Self pride” is a transgression against God. It is belief in self while disbelieving in God. And further, it is also claiming self can do it better then God. Further still, is believing that self will do it and believing that God cannot or will not! Further, it is belief in self (period). Therefore, claiming self as GOD (Exodus 20:1-20; John 4:24)!

Faith in God is:

“Knowing for an absolute fact” that God “will” do “it” (that which is impossible for man) and will NOT withhold any “good thing” from him that walketh uprightly before Him (God)!

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Proverbs 3:27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

When a thing is good and “you” the individual are walking uprightly before HIM (God, The Heavenly Father), will NOT withhold “it” (keep “it” from you, whatever “it” is).  He (God) will speedily present (give) “it” to you. You, my friend must reach out and freely receive (grasp) “it,” giving The Heavenly Father praise and thanks for “it.” The Heavenly Father will even pour out His wrath upon those that came against you and God does NOT waste time in doing “it” (2 Thes. 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you).

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

What is the cure for unbelief?

Matthew 17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Fasting and Prayer—The Cure for Unbelief

The disciples asked the Lord why they could not heal a lunatic boy. Jesus said, “Because of your unbelief … Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting” (Matthew 17:14-21). Faith needs prayer for its development and full growth, and prayer needs fasting for the same reason. Fasting has done wonders when used in combination with prayer and faith. This is a Biblical doctrine.

To fast, means “to abstain from,” withdraw from and not partake of anything which is of a necessity for sustaining life of the physical body such as food. Fasting humbles the soul before God (Psalm 35:13); chastens the soul (Psalm 69:10); and crucifies the appetites and denies the body confirming to the body that the soul (that which feels pain) that the soul is and has authority (power) over the individuals body. Further, fasting allows and gives the entire time (to Communicate) pray (2 Samuel 12:16-23; Matthew 4:1-11) unto The Heavenly Father Seeking His direction and will.  It manifests earnestness before God to the exclusion of all else (1 Cor. 7:5); shows obedience; gives the digestive system a rest (Matthew 6:16-18; Matthew 9:15; Luke 5:33); demonstrates the mastery of self over appetites and hunger pains; aids in victory over temptation to eat that which the body needs for them to sustain life; it also helps to attain power over demons; evil spirits and develops faith; crucifies unbelief; and aids in prayer (Matthew 4:1-11; Matthew 17:14-21).

All believers are supposed to fast, but no regulations or set rules are given as to how long or how often. That is determined by individual desire and needs (Matthew 9:14-15; 1 Cor. 7:5; Acts 13:1-5). Men should fast when under chastening (2 Samuel 12:16-23); under judgment (1 Kings 21:27); in need (Ezra 8:21); in danger (Esther 4); when worried (Daniel 6:18); in trouble (Acts 27:9, 33) in spiritual conflict (Matthew 4:1-11); and when desperate in prayer (Acts 9).

Do you believe God?

Is your Faith in God The Heavenly Father?

Is, Almighty God Your Heavenly Father?

Is, Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son of God, your Lord and Saviour?

(Romans 10:9-13)

Have you repented of your sins (transgressions) against God and ask The Heavenly Father to forgive you of your sins (transgressions) against Him (The Heavenly Father)?

God gave every man a measure of faith!

Where is yours?

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Are you now covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ?

Are you prepared for the coming of the Lord (Matt. 24:36-42; Mark 13:32-33)!
