EVIL SPIRITS AND IDOLS - PART I

Numbers 16:20   And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, [21] Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. [22] And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

Numbers 16:22 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

   [fell upon their faces]

[God of the spirits of all flesh] This term is used twice (Numbers 16:22; Numbers 27:16).  It simply means that all people will have to give an account to God for their lives and conduct (Job 12:10; 2 Peter 2:9).  All are in God's hands to be judged and sent to their own destiny, according to the way they have lived.  The righteous go to heaven when they leave their physical bodies (2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:21-24; Hebrews 12:23; Rev. 6:9-11), and the wicked go to hell to await the resurrection, being preserved there to be judged (Isaiah 14:9; Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 20:11-15).

[spirits of all flesh] "Spirits of flesh" (found only here and in Numbers 27:16), sets forth the biblical doctrine of immortality of the souls and spirits of all men, and the distinct difference between the material and spiritual natures of man.

[wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?]

[all the congregation] Moses was very angry with a few (Numbers 16:15), but he complained against God for being angry with all the people (Numbers 16:21-22).

Jesus Christ has the power over death and hell!

1 John 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Revelation 1:18  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Luke 7:11-15  And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. [12] Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. [13] And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. [14] And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. [15] And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

Jesus Christ gave the disciples and all that become born again

Power over all evil (spirits)!

[after, that he went into a city called Nain] After the events of Luke 7:1-10.

[Nain] A village about 21 miles from Capernaum, indicating a journey this far since healing the centurion's servant the day before.

[many of his disciples went with him, and much people] It is not known how many disciples Christ had all over the country where He had healed so many thousands.  The largest number at any one time that is mentioned was over 500 brethren (1 Cor. 15:6).

Luke 7:16   And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. [17] And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about. [18] And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things. [19] And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? [20] When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

Luke 7:21-23  And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. [22] Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. [23] And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Again, we will state and declare!

Jesus Christ gave the disciples and all that become born again

Power over all evil (spirits)!

[infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits] The threefold classification of illness into infirmities, plagues, and evil spirits, and that by Luke a physician, clearly establishes the difference between ordinary maladies and demon possession.  {See Demons or Unclean Spirits.}

Luke 10:17   And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. [18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. [19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. [20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. [21] In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Jesus Christ has the power to cast out Satan

Because Jesus became victorious over Satan (Rev. 1:18)

When Jesus Christ arose again unto newness of life!

Romans 8:34  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

[It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us]

Four redemptive acts of Christ:

1.  His death

2.  Resurrection

3.  Ascension [see written below](Ephes. 1:20)

4.  Intercession (Romans 8:27)

[who also maketh intercession for us] Romans 8:27, 34; Hebrews 7:25.

[Ephes. 1:20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Six Things that God The Father Did for Christ

1.   He raised Him from the dead (Ephes. 1:20; 1 Cor. 15:1-23;  John 21:14).

2.   He exalted Him at His own right hand (Ephes. 1:20; Psalm 110:1,5; Matthew 26:64; Mark 16:19; Acts 2:33-34; Acts 7:55-56; Romans 8:34; Phil. 2:9-11; Col. 3:1; Hebrews 1:3,13; Hebrews 10:12; Hebrews 12:2; 1 Peter 3:22).

3.   He gave Him authority over all powers, good and evil, under Himself (Ephes. 1:21; Ephes. 3:10; Ephes. 6:12; Romans 8:38; Phil. 2:9-11; Col. 1:15-18; Col. 2:10-17; 1 Peter 3:22; Rev. 1:1, 7,18; Rev. 11:15; Rev. 19:11-20:10).

4.   He gave Him a name above every name except God the Father (Ephes. 1:21; 1 Cor. 11:3; Phil. 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:4).

5.   He put all things under His feet (Ephes. 1:22; Col. 1:16-18; Col. 2:10-17; Hebrews 2:5-18; 1 Cor. 15:24-28).

6.  He gave Him headship of the church (Ephes. 1:22; Col. 1:18, 24; 2 Cor. 11:3).

deceiver, Lucifer, moon god, sun god, mithra, mithra, Baalzebub (dunghill god or god of flies)

Baal, Belial  and the god of this world, just to list a few of his names which they are identified by!)

1 John 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

[destroy] Greek: luo (GSN-3089), to undo; loosen; release; set free; do away with (2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.).

[some of the works of the devil]

Twenty-five Works of the Devil

23. Propagating false doctrines (1 Tim. 4; 2 Tim. 4; 2 Thes. 2; Rev. 13)

24. Oppressing men (Acts 10:38)

25. Persecuting Christians and warring on saints (Ephes. 6:10-18; 1 Peter 5:8-9).

Christ died to destroy and all works of the devil for believers in this age, and to give complete mastery over them unto all those who will repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as their LORD and Saviour and not lie about it, therefore speaking truth in their soul (Col. 2:14-17; 1 Peter 2:24; Luke 10:19; John 14:12; Mark 16:17-18).

The only works listed above that will not be put down in this age are:  all sin and rebellion among men; Satan's rule of the nations; the reign of death; and continued opposition of Satan to saints. These will be done away in the Millennium (Ephes. 1:10; 1 Cor. 15:24-28; Rev. 21:1-8; Rev. 22:3).

Jesus Christ gave the disciples and all that become born again,

Power over all evil (spirits)!

(Matthew 10:6-10; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 10:17-20; John 1:12-14)

John 1:12   But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

By the unlimited POWER of Almighty God

Through and by The Blood of Jesus Christ

That We (which confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour) as The Redeemed Children of Almighty God

have

Power over and against all spirits of depressions!

Power over and against all sickness, plagues, diseases!

Power over and against all storms, violence and all that is unclean and unholy!

Power over and against all evil and all that is unrighteous!

Evil spirits, (demonic, familiar spirits), seduce, confuse and increase by malignant contamination all people that breath Satan’s stagnant unholy and stinking poisoned air or oxygen which is blowing in the breeze (wind) tempting people to gasp and violently grab for any relief that they can get not realizing they are grasping a breath from Beelzebub’s (dunghill god or god of flies, god of unholy stink) dunghill.

However, many people are fooled and enjoy that until they fall over dead and go to a devil’s hell!

Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil and came to give us life and to give it more abundantly (Isaiah 55:7; John 10:10), the requirement is to repent of your sins and confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour while you still have the Breath of Life within your soul! Denounce the devil, serve notice on the devil tell the devil that you refuse to eat his poison candy any more, right now declare to the devil that you will not accept his poisons any longer and confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour while you still have the opportunity! Ask Jesus The Son of Almighty God to forgive you of all your sins and transgressions against God, ask Jesus to come into your heart and soul right now.

The very second or instant that you ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of all of your sins, Jesus Christ the Son of Almighty God comes into your heard and gives you His Power and His authority, strength over and against all powers of the devil as we stated above in (Matthew 10:6-10; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 10:17-20; John 1:12-14) and I will say congratulations to you for being my new Brother or Sister in the Lord! Amen and amen!

Now please go and be baptized (Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38) and be further obedient unto the Lord, for water baptism (totally submerged) is an outward sign to all of an inward cleansing, also representing the death of Jesus Christ, the burial of Jesus Christ and His resurrection from death unto Life (your spirit being born again)
