FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH – TEST 1
WITH ANSWERS
QUESTIONS – section one!
1. What is faith, (beyond saying that faith is believing)? Please explain and
give proper Bible Scriptures using the King James Standard (1611 Version)!
A; “Faith is” “that” which is unseen (invisible
Spirit of God), by which, when we pray, causes God to honor our prayer and
produce the substance of those things or the evidence of those things that we
could not see before we prayed to the Lord! Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is
the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

GIVEN BY THE INSPIRATION OF GOD,
Nine Ways the Bible Was Given

of God (Exodus
2.Angels (Acts

(Acts
4.Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:1; Revelation 1)
5.Apostles (Acts 1:2; Ephesians 4)

7.Dreams
(Daniel 2; Matthew
8.Revelation (see Revelation)
9.Inspiration (2 Timothy
Each, “confirmed” either part of or all of the others!
Inspiration: God-Breathed
Greek: theopneustos (GSN-2315), God-breathed. Only here. It is that special influence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of holy men which qualified and enabled them to make an infallible record of Divine truth concerning the will of God to man.
The purpose of inspiration is to secure truth and unity in record, not sameness
of words or statements. Revelation reveals new truth; inspiration superintends
the communicating and recording of that truth. We have examples of inspiration
without revelation (Luke 1:1-4); of inspiration including revelation
(Revelation 1:1,11); of inspiration without illumination (1 Peter
Degrees of Inspiration:
1.Some parts of
Scripture give the exact words of God (Exodus 32:16; Deuteronomy 5:4,24;
Matthew
2.Some words
were put into the mouths of the speakers who spoke as the Spirit inspired them
(Exodus
3.Some words
were written as the Spirit moved men (Exodus 34:27; 2 Peter
4.In some parts of Scripture it was left up to the writers to choose their own words to relate truth by the inspiration and guidance of the Spirit (Daniel 12:8-9; Luke 1:1-4; John 20:30-31; Acts 1:1-2)
The Spirit used the faculties and abilities of the writers to record things, past, present, and future. He gave direct Revelation, guided them to choose records of men, and superintended the writers in all their work until we now have a perfect and infallible record of the origin and destiny of all creation.
Twenty Proofs the
Bible Is Inspired:
1.Its wonderful unity. Over 40 authors wrote 66 books in different lands and over a period of 1,800 years. Many never saw the writing of the others and yet there is no contradiction between any two of them. Collect any group of books by any other 40 men on any subject and see if they agree.
2.Its superiority to other books in its origin, formation, doctrines, principles, claims, moral tone, histories, prophecies, Revelation, literature, present redemption and eternal benefits, and its general contents.
3.Its influence in the world. It has blessed millions in every generation, made the highest civilizations, and given man the highest hope and destiny.
4.The character and greatness of those who accept it. The wisest, most godly, and honest of men acknowledge it as God's Word. Only infidels and the ungodly reject it.
5.Man could not
have written it if he would, and would not have written it if he could.
No critic of Scripture had ever been able to improve or disprove it.
6.Good men must have written it. It condemns all sin and records the sins and faults of its writers as well as others. This, evil men would not do. Even good men would not do it unless inspired to do so to help others.
7.All man's present and eternal needs are met by the Bible. Redemption and promised benefits have been given to all who believe in all generations and this will always be so.
8.Its preservation through the ages. Whole kingdoms and religions have sought in vain to destroy it. It is still victorious and indestructible.
9.The heavenly and eternal character of its contents proves it to be of God.
10.The response of the soul to it. The Bible fits the soul as a key to a lock.
11.Its infinite depths and lofty ideals. It is universal in its appeal, reasonable in its teachings, reliable in its promises, durable in its conflicts, everlasting in its usefulness, new and modern in its statements, indispensible to human civilization, indisputable in its authority, interesting in its histories, colorful in its biographies, accurate in its prophecies, individual in its messages, far reaching in its vision, complete in its laws, comprehensive in its knowledge, infinite in its detail, unselfish in its purpose, simple in its application, just in its demands, righteous in its judgments, clear in its application, and masterful in its wisdom.
12.Fulfilled prophecy. About 3,300 verses of prophecy have been fulfilled, predictions made hundreds and even thousands of years before their fulfillment. Not one detail has failed yet. Nearly 3,000 verses are being fulfilled or will yet be fulfilled.
13.Miracles. Hundreds are recorded in Scripture and many happen daily among those who pray and claim Bible promises.
14.Its perfection. It is scientifically and historically correct. No one has ever found the Bible at fault in any of its many hundreds of statements on history, astronomy, botany, geology, or any other branch of learning.
15.Its adaptability. It is always up-to-date on any subject. It fits the lives of all people of all ages and all lands.
16.Its spiritual and moral power. It meets perfectly every spiritual and moral need of man.
17.Its
doctrines. They surpass all human principles in relationship, religion,
culture, etc. (1 Corinthians
18.Claims of the Bible itself. Over 3,800 times Bible writers claim God spoke what they wrote. The Bible itself claims to be the Word of God.
19.Secular history. Many pagan as well as Jewish and Christian writers confirm the facts of the Bible, quoting it as being genuine, authentic, and inspired of God.
20.Its inexhaustible proofs. It would take many volumes to deal fully with the many thousands of facts which confirm the Bible to be the Word of God. The book must be divine. If one will use it properly it will confirm itself to him as the inspired Word of God.
What Great Men Have Said About the Bible
It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible—George Washington.
A studious perusal of the sacred volume will make better citizens, better fathers, and better husbands—Thomas Jefferson.
The first and almost the only
book deserving of universal attention—John Quincy
A man has deprived himself of the best there is in the world who has deprived himself of this (a knowledge of the Bible)—Woodrow Wilson.
There is no other book so various as the Bible, not one so full of concentrated wisdom—Herbert Hoover.
To the influence of this Book we are indebted for the progress made in civilization; and to this we must look as our guide in the future—Ulysses S. Grant.
What can I do with respect to the next world without my Bible?—John Bacon.
The Bible is more than a book; it is a living being with an action; a power which invades everything that opposes its extension—Napoleon Bonaparte.
All other books are of little importance in comparison with the Holy Scriptures—Alexander Cruden.
We, the undersigned, Students of the Natural Sciences, desire to express our sincere regret that researchers into scientific truth are perverted by some in our own times into occasion for casting doubt upon the truth and authenticity of the Holy Scriptures. We conceive that it is impossible for the Word of God written in the book of nature, and God's Word written in Holy Scripture, to contradict one another ... physical science is not complete, but is only in a condition of progress—Signed by 800 scientists of Great Britain, recorded in the Bodleian Library, Oxford.
The Bible is the Book of faith,
and a Book of doctrine, and a Book of morals, and a Book of religion, of special revelation from God; but it is also a Book which teaches man his responsibility, his own dignity, and his equality with his fellow man—Daniel Webster.
A Tribute to the Bible:
The Holy Bible IS NOT an amulet, a charm, a fetish! Almighty God can, cause the HOLY BIBLE to work wonders by its very presence and the power of the Holy Ghost. It is a book that will work wonders in every life, if acted upon and obeyed in faith and sincerity. It is God's inspired revelation of the origin and destiny of all things, written in the most simple human language possible so that the most unlearned can understand and obey its teachings. It is self-interpreting and covers every subject of human knowledge and need now and forever. As a literary composition, the Holy Bible is the most remarkable book ever made. It is a Divine library of 66 books, some of considerable size, and others no larger than a tract. These books include various forms of literature—history, biography, poetry, proverbial sayings, hymns, letters, directions for elaborate ritualistic worship, laws, parables, riddles, allegories, prophecy, drama, and others. They embrace all manner of literary styles in human expression.
It is the book that reveals
the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of
sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts
binding, its histories true, and its decisions immutable. Read it to be wise,
believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. The Bible contains light to
direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler's
map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the
Christian's charter.
Here heaven is opened, and the gates of hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good is its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill your memory, rule your heart, and guide your feet in righteousness and true holiness. Read it slowly, frequently, prayerfully, meditatively, searchingly, devotionally, and study it constantly, perseveringly, and industriously. Read it through and through until it becomes part of your being and generates faith that will move mountains. The Holy Bible is a mine of wealth, the source of health, and a world of pleasure. It is given to you in this life, will be opened at the judgment, and will stand forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward any amount of labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

2. Explain the word “fundamental!”
A; Foundation on which our basic convictions are based upon!
3. In general, what are the fundamentals of faith,
pertaining to God’s Ministry?
A; The so stipulated, statements of firm foundations upon which God’s Ministry
bases a deep personal belief and convictions upon!
4. When the word of the Lord came to Zechariah 4:6 and
said Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts,
what is the difference between might, power and the Spirit of the Lord?
A; The difference being that “might” means authority, “power” means force,
whereas “The Spirit of the Lord” is The Spirit of God!
5. In the New Testament, John 1:1, please explain the
difference between the “Word” and “God!”
A; The “Word” is the Logos (the “Written Word”) including the Rama
“Word,” which is the (revealed spoken) “WORD” And “God” Himself being
The Holy “Spirit.”
6. According to Matthew 24:35 in the New Testament, when
will the “Words” of “God” pass away?
A; Never! Mark

is the Minister of the gospel to remain or stay out of and not teach, preach or
baptize in?
A; There are None!
8. Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken
unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
(Why?)
A; So He (Jesus) could send the Comforter to us! John
16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away:
for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I
will send him unto you.
9. Why is it necessary for us to know and understand Acts
2:4?
A; Acts 2:4 is where it is recorded in the Holy Scriptures that states and
proves, that Jesus Christ DID send back the comforter. Acts 2:4 And they were
all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the
Spirit gave them utterance. (Jesus Christ always confirms HIS word and keeps
His promises, Mark 16:20)

QUESTIONS – section two!
1. What does, we believe and have a deep “personal
conviction” of “God” mean?
A; A fact that Almighty God has convinced me
of!
2. Who are “them” also which sleep in Jesus in 1st
Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so “them”
also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
A. DIED AND ROSE AGAIN, The death of Jesus Christ is
the assurance of salvation for all who will believe (Matthew 26:28; Romans
5:6-11; 1 Peter
SLEEP IN JESUS Body-Sleep—Not Soul-Sleep
Sleep means death of the body (1
Thessalonians.
BRING WITH HIM, Christians at death go immediately to heaven to await
the resurrection of their sleeping bodies (2 Corinthians. 5:8;
Philippians. 1:21-24; Hebrews 12:22-23; Revelation 6:9-11). When Christ
leaves heaven to come down in the air of the earth (1 Thessalonians.
Also, these are those in Matthew 27:52-53 And the graves were opened; and many
bodies of the saints which slept arose, [53] And came out of the graves after
his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
MANY BODIES OF THE SAINTS
WHICH SLEPT AROSE, These bodies made part of the multitude of captives
Christ captured from Satan in the underworld of departed spirits and which He
took captive with Him when He ascended on high (Ephesians. 4:8-10; Hebrews
2:14-15). Now when Christians die they no longer go into the lower parts
of the earth held captive by the devil against their will, but go to
heaven to await the resurrection of the body (2 Corinthians.
5:8; Philippians 1:21-24; Revelation. 6:9-11; Hebrews 12:22). The wicked
continue to go to hell to await their resurrection (Luke
3. Please explain the difference between meeting
Jesus Christ upon Salvation and meeting the Lord in the air. 1st
Thessalonians 4:17.
A: When we meet Christ upon Salvation, we were convicted
of our sins and were also impressed in our hearts that Jesus Christ died
on the cross and arose again to give us life and giving it more abundantly!
When we meet Jesus Christ in the air, it will be the
proof that our sins have been forgiven and all is well, otherwise we would NOT
SEE Jesus in the air (being caught up), but we will know that we made it
because we are there. Mark
4. In Luke 24:2 And they found the stone rolled
away from the sepulchre. [Why was the stone rolled away from the sepulchre?]
A; So all may see, that Christ had risen from the dead
and was no longer in the tomb. Matthew 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as
he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Mark 16:6 And he saith unto
them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is
risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. Luke 24:6 He
is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in
Galilee.
5. According to 1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say,
brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
A. Our bodies must go back to dust from whence it was
formed! Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living
soul. Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou
return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou
art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
6. in 2nd Thessalonians who is the Mystery of
iniquity?
A; 2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken
out of the way.
The Hinderer of Lawlessness
1. It is something already known (2 Thessalonians 2:6).
2. It now hinders lawlessness (2 Thessalonians 2:6-7).
3. It is strong enough to prevent the revelation of the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:6-8).
4. It will hinder lawlessness until it is removed from the earth (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8).
5. It is called "he" (2 Thessalonians 2:7).
6. It will be removed from the earth before the second coming (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8).
7. It will not be here when Christ comes to destroy Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8).
The Hinderer is One of Three Things:
1.
Governments (Romans 13:1-7; 1 Peter
2. The Holy Spirit (John 16:7-15)
3. The church (Matthew
The hinderer of lawlessness must be the one that will be taken out of the world
before Antichrist can be revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:6-8). Will
governments be taken out of the world? No, because Antichrist reigns over
many kingdoms (Daniel
The "He" of 2 Thessalonians 2:7
The only argument used to prove that the Holy Spirit is the hinderer of this
passage is the pronoun he. It is believed that the church could
not be referred to as he, because it is the bride of Christ. However,
the church is called a man (Ephesians
[until He be taken out of the way] Rapture Before Antichrist
The church will continue to hinder lawlessness until the rapture.
And then the Antichrist will be revealed. This is conclusive proof
that the rapture takes place before Daniel's 70th week and the tribulation
of Revelation 6:1-19:21. According to Daniel 9:27, Antichrist will be
here for 7 years, for he makes a 7-year covenant with
7. Did God say “God will NOT put more upon (or on) you
then you can bear? [Again, give the Scripture stating the exact quote!]
A. This statement is NOT RECORDED IN THE HOLY
BIBLE, therefore “God did not say it!”
8. In Revelation 19:17 And I saw an angel standing
in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in
the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the
great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of
captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them
that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and
great. [What is this supper most commonly referred to as?]
A. The marriage supper of the Lamb; Revelation
19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the
marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true
sayings of God. Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying
unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth:
Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works
do follow them.
[Write] This word is used 16 times in the
book, proving John was directed to write as he received the Revelation
(Revelation 1:11,19; Revelation 2:1,8,12,18; Revelation 3:1,7,12,14; Revelation
10:4; Revelation 14:13; Revelation 19:9; Revelation 21:5); cp. Revelation 1:3;
Revelation 22:18-19.
[from
henceforth] From the time people begin to die, because they will not
take the mark of the beast. It refers to a special blessing to martyrs of
the tribulation (Revelation 6:9-11; Revelation 7:9-17; Revelation
[saith the Spirit] The Holy Spirit speaks 12 times in Revelation (Revelation 1:10; Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; Revelation 3:6,13,22; Revelation 4:2; Revelation 17:3; Revelation 21:10; Revelation 22:17).
[follow them] Three promises in view of faithfulness:
1. Blessed are the martyrs for Christ.
2. They rest from their labours.
3. Their rewards follow them.
9. Where in the Bible (Biblia, Logos) does it give reference to the Great White
Throne Judgment of God?
A. Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and
him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and
there was found no place for them.

QUESTIONS --- section 3
1. According to 2nd Corinthians 4:3 [who has the gospel been hidden
from?]
A. 2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is
hid to them that are lost:
2. Why, is the gospel hidden from them?
A. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world
hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

3. In Romans 1:25, who changed the truth of God into a
lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator? [Again give
Scriptural proof!]
A. The answer is all ungodly and unrighteous men: Romans
1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed
it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal
power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:21 Because that,
when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but
became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory
of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to
birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave
them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour
their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God
into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator,
who is blessed for ever. Amen.

4. John 8:44, why, can’t the devil tell the truth instead
of being a liar?
A. Lucifer, the devil, the covering cherub therefore,
rebelled and chose to sin against God and became prideful (because of his
beauty) and full of iniquity, then became full of violence. Ezekiel 28:15 Thou
wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was
found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the
midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast
thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering
cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Time of Lucifer's Fall
The time of his iniquity was when he rebelled against God to exalt his throne
and kingdom from earth to heaven (Isaiah

Ezekiel 28:13 tells us that Lucifer was also in a pre-Adamite garden of Eden:
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

5. Where do lies come from?
A. lies originate from the devil for he is the father
of them! John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your
father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of
his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
6. How can we know the Spirit of God according to John
4:2-3?
A. If a person knows Jesus Christ the Son of God as their
Lord and Saviour, they will also know the Spirit of God for no man cometh to
the Father but by the Son and God the Heavenly Father is a Spirit. 1
Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by
the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that
Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. John
7. Is Heaven and Hell real? [Please show Holy Scriptures
confirming so!]
A. Heaven and Hell are both real! What we believe does
not change God! However, what we believe can allow God to change us; Genesis
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:8
And God called the firmament Heaven. Genesis 1:14-15 And God said,
Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day
from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and
years: [15] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give
light upon the earth: and it was so. Genesis 1:20 And God said, Let the waters
bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may
fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

Job 11:8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell;
what canst thou know? Psalms
8. How did God create the world? [Prove your conviction
scripturally!]
A. [God spoke, the world into existence]
Genesis 1:1-7 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the
earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God
said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the
light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the
evening and the morning were the first day. 6 And God said, Let there be
a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the
waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were
under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was
so. [God spoke the world into existence] Romans
9. Was there anyone with God when He created the world?
[Show Scriptural proof!]
A. Jesus Christ was! John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify
thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee
before the world was. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make
man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,
and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth.
10. Is speaking classified as work? [Prove your
conviction scripturally!]
A. Yes, Genesis 2:2-3 And on the seventh day God ended his
work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his
work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified
it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and
made.
QUESTIONS --- section 4
1. Under section IX, CREATION AND MAN’S FALL, how are we justified?
A. We are justified by speaking words of faith
in God! Matthew
2. What is the Power of God unto salvation?
A. The gospel of Jesus Christ is! Romans
3. What is revealed of God from heaven?
A. The wrath of God is! Romans
4. Who was buried and then rose again the third day?
A. Jesus Christ
5. According to Matthew 12:31-32, can a person be
eternally lost after receiving Christ as their Lord and Saviour?
A. Yes! Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Explaining what blasphemy is; It is any insulting remark or curse, even attributing to Satan the works of the Holy Spirit. It is unforgivable if it is done maliciously and knowingly, as here and in Hebrews 6:4-9; Hebrews 10:26-31; 1 Timothy 1:13.
Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible
for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly
gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted
the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall
fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to
themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Two outstanding facts:
1.Christians can backslide, tearing down the foundation of repentance that is already laid. Should they ever again be admitted into Christ, they will have to build again the foundation of repentance and do their first works again (Hebrews 6:1-2; Hebrews 2:1-4; Revelation 2:5).
2.Christians can fully apostatize from Christ, completely rejecting Him and His atoning work, so that it is impossible to renew them again to repentance (Hebrews 6:4-9; Hebrews 10:26-29; 2 Peter 2:20-22).
[Those who were once enlightened,
and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy
Ghost]
Fivefold
1.Were once enlightened, but not now
enlightened (Hebrews 6:4). Thayer's Greek Lexicon says this refers to
"those who have been made Christians." Paul uses the same term of
saved individuals elsewhere (Ephesians
2.Have tasted of the heavenly gift

(GSN-1089), have experience of. Translated "to eat" (Acts
3.Were made partakers of the Holy
Spirit (Hebrews 6:4). Greek: metochos
(GSN-3353), partner and fellow with (note, Hebrews 3:1). No sinner is a
partaker of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-16). It is almost blasphemy to
accuse the Holy Spirit of being a partner, sharer, and an associate with the
ungodly. Jesus said that sinners cannot receive the Holy Spirit (John
4.Have tasted the good Word of God (Hebrews 6:5). To taste the Word of God is to be saved, as proved in Matthew 13:20-23; Luke 8:13-15; John 15:3; Acts 2:41; Acts 4:4; Acts 8:14; Acts 11:1; Acts 17:11; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 5:26; James 1:18-25; 1 Peter 1:18-23. No man receives the Word and remains unsaved.
5.Have tasted the powers of the world
to come (Hebrews 6:5). To taste of these powers means to experience
eternal life. Every time such statement is found it refers to eternal
life (Matthew
[world] Greek: aion (GSN-165), a period of
time whether long or short. This age refers to the period between the first
and second comings (Matthew 24:14,29-31; Revelation 19:11-21). The
age to come refers to the Millennium following the second coming

THE TRUTH ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITY;
Under the guise of honoring the finished work of Christ on the cross, some teachers lead many to believe that once a person is in grace, he will always be in grace, regardless of how much he sins thereafter. Such teachings masquerade under various names, and are believed by a great many people because they seem plausible; and furthermore they are sometimes championed by Bible scholars of national or world-wide reputation. Regrettably, for too many people the teaching of eternal security becomes eternal insecurity for they lapse into a sinning-saint religion which will truly bring them disappointments on Judgment Day. Some people accept the arguments because of ignorance of the full scope of Scriptures on the subject, while there are no doubt others who, being willfully blind, praise it because they want an excuse to sin. That there is a true sense in which every believer can have "everlasting life," and be "eternally secure" cannot be denied - for they are possible whenever God's conditions are met. The following points will be discussed below:
I. What is the Question Involved in the Teaching of Unconditional Security?
The foremost question involved in the doctrine of the Christian's eternal security is: On whom does the responsibility rest to bring about this coveted state? To this we may add: finder what conditions, if any, may it be obtained? Are there "any strings attached" as we would commonly say? Could it be unconditional-or is there a possibility that somewhere in the Bible, we are able to find conditions that belong to the doctrine as well as the blessings of security forever?
The Bible does teach conditional eternal security which is the only kind of security a sane man can expect and a just God can tolerate and promise. But to teach an unconditional eternal security and maintain this position in the face of overwhelming scriptural authority to the contrary is to make God the most unjust tyrant of the universe To do so, one must manufacture and maintain many other false doctrines to support the sinking-sand foundation of the main false doctrine. One must twist, contort, misinterpret, misapply, take from, and add to many Scriptures to support such teaching, including teaching that God must lie to get his point across, even though God does not lie and is not man that He should lie. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Every Bible doctrine should be measured by plain facts of Scripture and by plain principles and true examples of life; not by erroneously interpreting a few texts in total disregard of other Scriptures on the same subject. It is vital for one to get God's thought on the subject as a whole as expressed in all Scripture. The devil has always used Scripture to cloak his teachings, and he can wrest it and twist it until whatever he teaches appears to be quite scriptural. Just because a theory has a few passages that seem to sustain it is no proof that it is scriptural. Any doctrine that is opposed to the true principles of life, or to one plain Scripture, rightly divided, is bound to be wrong.
Teachers of unconditional security, like teachers of other false doctrines, do away with all Scriptures that are not in harmony with their pet theory. Their usual procedure is to explain all Scriptures that plainly contradict such teaching as referring only to the Jews and not to Christians, or as referring to some past age and not to the one in which we live, and to quickly divert attention from other Scriptures written to Christians as of no importance on the question. On the other hand, Scriptures written to both Jews and Gentiles that can be twisted to harmonize with this theory are emphasized beyond all true meaning under the guise of accepting just what the Bible says.
God has so constructed the Bible that no one passage contains all the truth on any one subject and no passage contradicts another, whether it is on the same subject or not (Isaiah 28:9-13). All Scriptures on a subject must be gathered and harmonized with themselves and with all Scriptures on other subjects, before the whole truth can be fully understood. No "Scripture is of any private interpretation"; that is, no Scripture should be isolated from all others and understood by itself as being the whole truth on a subject in total disregard to all other passages on the same subject (2 Peter 1:19). Two or three plain passages are required to establish any single truth, and if there are more than this number on a subject all must bear testimony to the same thing and none of them must contradict themselves or any other passages on any other subject (Numbers 35:30, Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15; Matthew 18:16; 2 Corinthians 13:1).
We are told
to "rightly divide the word of truth" (2 Timothy

7. In Acts chapter 5, why didn’t Ananias and his wife Sapphira seek forgiveness
for lying to the Holy Ghost?
A. The answer is found in Matthew 12:31-32 (pertaining to
blasphemy of the Holy Ghost)! Ananias and Sapphira mean grace and beauty,
but their names do not fit their conduct. They were disciples of Christ
and members of the apostolic church of which no man would belong unless he had
a real experience of salvation. This we have to conclude because the
church was hated and persecuted (Acts 4:1-4,17; Acts
8. Please give Scriptural proof why Ananias or his wife
were NOT eternally secure and could NOT be forgiven?
A. They both yielded to Satan’s temptation by lying to
the Holy Ghost (Blasphemed the Holy Ghost) Matthew 12:31-32
9. Under our sub-heading XII THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE BODY
OF CHRIST, what is the evidence of the Holy Ghost?
A. The evidence is Speaking with other tongues as the
Holy Ghost gives utterance! Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy
Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
Old Testament Spiritual Experiences
Old Testament saints had many
experiences and blessings, as follows. They were filled
(Exodus 28:3; Exodus 31:3; Exodus 35:31; Deuteronomy 34:9; Micah 3:8) and
had the Spirit in them (Genesis 41:38; Numbers 27:18; Daniel
4:8-9,18; Daniel 5:11-14; Daniel 6:3); within them (Psalms
51:10-11; Isaiah 63:10-14; Ezekiel 11:19); into them (Ezekiel 2:2; Ezekiel
3:24; Acts 3:21); and upon them (Numbers 11:17-29; Judges 3:10;
Judges 6:34; Judges 11:29; Judges 14:6,19; Judges 15:14). He moved
many (Judges
Old Testament saints had gifts and fruit of the Spirit (1 Kings
Old Testament saints and disciples of Christ had salvation (Psalms 51:12); redemption (Psalms 31:5); grace (Psalms 84:11); physical healing (Exodus 15:26); names written in heaven (Exodus 32:32-33; Luke 10:20); the new birth (Galatians 4:28-30); conversion (Psalms 19:7); righteousness (Romans 4); the gospel (Galatians 3:6-14; Hebrews 4:2); justification (Romans 4); holiness; (Acts 3:21; 2 Peter 1:21); pure hearts (Psalms 24:4); sanctification (Exodus 29:42-44; Exodus 31:13; Ezekiel 20:2; John 15:3); and many other spiritual blessings before Pentecost (John 7:37-39; Acts 2:33).
Therefore, one should not
take any of these blessings as evidence of a Spirit baptism. From all
this we gather that the Spirit baptism is the fullness of God in the lives of
believers, not the Spirit by measure as in Old Testament times (John
The difference between a
filling and a baptism or the Spirit by measure and without measure may be
illustrated by a glass and a pitcher of water. To the extent the water
is poured into the glass it is filled, but not baptized.
By burying the glass in the fullness of the water it is both filled and
baptized. Taking the glass out of the fullness of the water it
is no longer baptized. So it is with believers. To the extent
one is filled with the Spirit he has that measure of power and can do things
according to the degree of anointing he has. If he is merely filled and
has the Spirit by measure he is limited in spiritual power. IF HE HAS
THE SPIRIT IN ALL FULLNESS THERE IS NO LIMITATION. HE CAN DO THE WORKS OF
CHRIST AND THE APOSTLES (Matthew
A filling always comes with
a baptism, but a baptism does not always come with a filling. AT
PENTECOST THEY WERE BOTH FILLED AND BAPTIZED (Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:4),
and many fillings kept coming to them to replenish the Spirit and power they
had received (Acts 4:8,31; Acts
[speak
with other tongues] This was predicted by Isaiah (Isaiah 28:9-12)
and by Christ (Mark
[as the Spirit gave them utterance] This was similar to the Spirit speaking through the prophets in their own language (Acts 3:21; Hebrews 1:1-2), only here it was with different languages (Acts 2:4,6,11). Though speaking in tongues is done through immediate inspiration by recipients when one has thus received the gift, it then becomes a part of his personality so that he can, if he desires to do so, exercise it without direct inspiration, even in a backslidden condition (1 Corinthians 13:1-3). This is why the exercise of vocal gifts of prophecy, tongues, and interpretation of tongues is commanded to be regulated and even judged as to whether it be under direct inspiration or whether the person is exercising a gift of himself (1 Corinthians 14:29-33).
10. Who does the groaning, the Spirit or the person that
is speaking? [Give scriptural proof!]
A. Both! Man and the Holy Ghost!

QUESTIONS --- section 5
1. Prove Scripturally who “God” is!
A. John
2. What is the difference between Jesus Christ and the
Spirit of Christ? [Give scriptural proof!]
A. Jesus Christ came in the flesh, whereas, the
Spirit of Christ is the Spirit that is within Christ! Jesus died on the Cross
and shed His blood for the remission of Sins and arose again the third day and
set on the right side of God the Heavenly Father, (by and in the Spirit).
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so
be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [The Spirit of Christ is also
referring to the personality and attitude of Jesus Christ!]
3. Is there a difference between the Spirit of God and
God Himself? [please explain your determination scripturally!]
A. Yes, there is a difference, but only in expression.
The Spirit of God is the working power and part of God! There are
many functions, operations and manifestations of the Holy Spirit but all are
part of God and the Family of God as well as many members of a family, each
being different but yet each is part of the other working and being in unity,
(agreement, fellowship) with the other! 1 Corinthians 12:1-6 Now concerning
spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 2 Ye know that ye
were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 3
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of
God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is
the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the
same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the
same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but IT IS
THE SAME GOD WHICH WORKETH ALL IN ALL.
4. According to Hebrews 12:14, why is it necessary to
follow peace and holiness with all men? [Again give scriptural proof of your
determination!]
A. Without holiness no man shall see God! Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see
the Lord:
5. How is it possible that a person can know someone by
their fruits? [Explain!]
A. Everything, that a person does or says will be
confirmed, proving whether they lied or told the truth, whether they followed
the Lord according to James
6. How may a person discern another? [Give scriptural
proof!]
A. By the knowledge of right and wrong and the wisdom to
know the difference of how to respond according to James 4:17 and Ezekiel 44:23
And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and
profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
[The God given gift of Discerning of Spirits (the Devine ability to know
and recognize good, bad, true and false spirits.) 1 Corinthians 12:10 To
another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning
of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the
interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame
Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one,
and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are
one body: so also is Christ.]
7. What are some of the manifestations of the Holy
Spirit? [give scriptural proof!]
A. Some of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit are
Signs, wonders and mighty deeds.
phanerosis, fan-er'-o-sis;
from Greek 5319 (phaneroo); exhibition, i.e. (figurative) expression,
(by extension) a bestowment :- manifestation. 1 Corinthians 12:7 But the
manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to
one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge
by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts
of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to
another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of
tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh
that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. Acts
2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
8. Why is it necessary for God to try people as of by
fire? [give scriptural proof!]
A. The answer is that we having faith in God at the
appointed time will inherit a crown of Life! as 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial
of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though
it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory
at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Also, Revelation 2:10 Fear none of
