IF YOU HAD BEEN THERE - PART I
You should have been there!
When God created the
world!
Job 38:3-4 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will
demand of thee, and answer thou me. [4] Where wast thou when I laid the
foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5-18 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou
knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? [6] Whereupon are the
foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; [7] When
the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? [8]
Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out
of the womb? [9] When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness
a swaddlingband for it, [10] And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars
and doors, [11] And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here
shall thy proud waves be stayed? [12] Hast thou commanded the morning since thy
days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; [13] That it might take hold
of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? [14] It is
turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment. [15] And from the
wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken. [16] Hast
thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of
the depth? [17] Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou
seen the doors of the shadow of death? [18] Hast thou perceived the breadth of
the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

[I laid the foundations of the
earth] The foundations of the earth were laid by God, a Person; they
weren't the development of an evolving, self-existent molecule, or any number
of molecules. Job was asked to explain how God formed the earth, if he had
understanding. If he couldn't do this,
he was a poor critic of God's government.
Would you have feared
God?
Oh,
You should have been there!
When God shut the
door of the boat and the water (flood) began to rise and after a while you
could hear the screams of the people saying “open to me, open to me, open to me,
let me in, I am dieing out here, I believe you now, I believe,, I believe, open
to me, sounds of the curses and screams” as the water continued to rise. The
mockers refused to heed the warnings of Noah the Man of God.
Genesis 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of
waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life,
from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
Genesis 7:6-7 And Noah was six hundred years old when the
flood of waters was upon the earth. [7] And Noah went in, and his sons, and his
wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the
flood.
Genesis 7:10 And it came to pass after seven days, that
the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
Genesis 7:17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth;
and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the
earth.
Genesis 7:11-13 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in
the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the
fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
[12] And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. [13] In the
selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah,
and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
Genesis 7:16-17 And they that went in, went in male and female
of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in. [17] And the
flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the
ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
Genesis 7:18-21 And the waters prevailed, and were increased
greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. [19] And
the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that
were under the whole heaven, were covered. [20] Fifteen cubits upward did the
waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. [21] And all flesh died that
moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
Genesis 7:22-24 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life,
of all that was in the dry land, died. [23] And every living
substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and
cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were
destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that
were with him in the ark. [24] And the waters prevailed upon the earth an
hundred and fifty days.
Would you have feared God or would you have been afraid?
Oh,
You should have been there!
When Elisha cursed
the little children of the City in the Name of the LORD for their mocking A Man
of God!
When God called two she bears out of the wood
2 Kings 2:23-25 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and
as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the
city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou
bald head. [24] And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in
the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood,
and tare forty and two children of them. [25] And he went from thence
to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.
[children] Hebrew: naar (HSN-5288), child—anywhere from infancy to adolescence. It generally implies youth, but not always, for the word is used of Isaac when he was 28 (Genesis 22:5), of Joseph at 39 (Genesis 41:12), and of Rehoboam when fully grown (2 Chron. 13:7). These "little children" were the infidel young men of Bethel who worshiped the golden calf instead of Jehovah. God sent the bears, so we must believe the offenders were worthy of such judgment.
[bald head] According to some authorities, "bald head" didn't refer to a lack of hair, but signified a worthless man; it was a term of contempt, an insult. Here it was equal to blasphemy for the young men mocked Elisha as a prophet of Jehovah, in contemptuous allusion to the translation of Elijah, which they no doubt denied. The idea seems to be: "Be translated like Elijah, you worthless man!"
Would you have feared God? Would you have been afraid?
Almighty God takes it
very serious when people mock Him or one of “His” Holy Prophets!
Do you fear God? Are you afraid of offending Him?
1 Chron.
16:21-26 He suffered no man to do them
wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, [22] Saying, Touch not mine
anointed, and do my prophets no harm. [23] Sing unto the Lord, all the
earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation. [24] Declare his glory among
the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. [25] For great is the
Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. [26]
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
Will you heed God’s warnings’?
Do you fear God?
Oh
You should be there
When the Trumpet of the Lord sounds!
Will you be there? At The Roll Call? Will you answer to your name?
God is going to call
the roll some morning, just after the great trumpet sounds, He going to call
all that’s ready up to heaven, where peace and love abounds. At the Roll Call,
will you be glad that Jesus came?
Will you say Master
here am I, I am so glad you bleed and died, that you hung upon the Cross for a
sinner such as I. At the Roll Call, Will you answer to your name? At the Roll
Call, Are you glad that Jesus Came? Will you say Master here am I, I am so glad
you bleed and died, that you hung upon the Cross For a sinner such as I. At the
roll Call will you answer to your name, At the Roll Call I am so glad that
Jesus Came.
Will you hear your name called OR will you miss the Roll Call
and be left behind OR
Will you be there when they decapitate people’s heads because you
refuse to take the mark of the BEAST?
2 Cor. 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time
accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the
accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Repent while you still have the breath of life!
Rev. 20:1-4 And I saw an angel come down from heaven,
having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he
laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and
bound him a thousand years, [3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut
him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more,
till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be
loosed a little season. [4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and
judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded
for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not
worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon
their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years.
Will you be there? Where will you be?
