JESUS
CHRIST IS TRUTH - PART I
Knowledge of Truth and believing Truth!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
People can
know that which is truth, but they will not believe “Truth” UNTIL they
have met “Jesus Christ” in all actuality and have repented of their sins and
asked Christ to come into their heart making them a new person, individual and Born
again by the Blood of Jesus Christ
The Holy Ghost:
Is
the One which leads them (the individual) into all Truth by convicting the
person’s heart that they might come to know “Truth.”
John
14:6-17 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto
the Father, but by me. [7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my
Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. [8]
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. [9] Jesus saith unto
him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us
the Father? [10] Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in
me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not
of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
[11] Believe me
that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very
works' sake. [12] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the
works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father. [13] And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that
will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask any
thing in my name, I will do it.
[15]
If ye love me,
keep my commandments. [16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit
of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not,
neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and
shall be in you.
“Truth” and
truths:
“Using
an expression” stare(s) people in the face all day long and they cannot or
don’t see it or perceive it “Truth.”
And
the reason is “Truth is Jesus Christ” The Son of God (John 4:24).
The
god of this world has blinded the eyes of those that refuse to come to the
knowledge of the “Truth;” (2 Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath
blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image
of God, should shine unto them.)
People
don’t want to know “Truth,” they would rather believe or accept a lie. They
would rather let everyone else do “whatever” for them and they just accept
“whatever” they (others) say or do, as long as the individual doesn’t have to
feel to much pain while they are doing it.
[I
am]
I am—Greek: ego (GSN-1473) eimi (GSN-1510), used twenty-one times in John by
Christ (John 4:26; John 6:35,48,51; John 8:12,18,24,28,58; John 10:7,9,11,14; John
11:25; John 13:19; John 14:6; John 15:1,5; John 18:5,8).
[way] Christ Is a
Sevenfold Way
1.
The only way to God (Matthew 7:14; John 10:1,7,9; John 14:6)
2.
The way of escape (1 Cor. 10:13)
3.
The way into the holiest (Hebrews 9:8-15; Hebrews 10:19-23)
4.
The new and living way (Hebrews 10:20; Hebrews 5:9)
5.
The way of truth (2 Peter 2:2)
6.
The right way (2 Peter 2:15)
7.
The way of righteousness (2 Peter 2:21; 1 Cor. 1:30)
[truth] This word is
used by Jesus in John 22 times and only 4 times by Him in the other
gospels.
He is: The “Truth” with God (John 8:29)
that sets free (John 8:32-36; John 14:6).
He is: The Teacher of Truth and source
of “Truth” with The Heavenly Father (Matthew 22:16; Mark 12:14; John 1:14, 17).
“Truth” came by Jesus Christ, but not only “by” Jesus Christ, “Truth”
also, came by the Prophets of Old, such as Moses and by God The Heavenly Father
and by The Holy Ghost.
John 16:7-10 Nevertheless
I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not
away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him
unto you. [8] And when he is come, he will
reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] Of sin, because they believe not on me; [10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no
more;
John 16:13-15 Howbeit
when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will shew you
things to come. [14] He shall glorify
me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. [15] All things that
the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and
shall shew it unto you.
[life] This word is
used 44 times in John and only 38 times in the other gospels. Christ is the source of eternal life.
John 6:27. [no man cometh unto the Father, but by me] Acts 4:12;
Ephes. 2:18.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in
any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved.
[salvation] Greek: soteria
(GSN-4991). It is translated:
1. Saving,
deliverance from and preservation from destruction and judgment of Noah's flood
(Hebrews 11:7)
2.
Saved from enemies (Luke 1:71)
3.
Saved from sins (Romans 10:1,9-10)
4.
Deliver from slavery (Acts 7:25)
5.
Health, preservation of life and physical health (Acts 27:34)
6. Salvation
from physical infirmity (Acts 4:12 with Acts 4:10; Acts 3:1-12, 16)
7. Salvation in
general—all kinds of deliverances (Luke 1:69; John 4:22; Acts 13:26,47; Romans
1:16; Romans 11:11; 2 Cor. 1:6; 2 Cor. 6:2; 2 Cor. 7:10; Ephes. 1:13; Phil.
2:12; 2 Tim. 3:15; Hebrews 6:9; Jude 1:3)
8. Salvation
from sins (Luke 1:77; Luke 19:9; Romans 10:10; 2 Thes. 2:13)
9. Salvation,
final and complete deliverance from all the curse, including death (Romans
13:11; Phil. 1:19, 28; 1 Thes. 5:8-9; 2 Tim. 2:10; Hebrews 1:14; Hebrews
2:3,10; Hebrews 5:9; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Peter 1:5,9,10; 2 Peter 3:15; Rev. 7:10;
Rev. 12:10; Rev. 19:1)
[none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved] Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name
under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Matthew
1:21; Acts 2:38; Acts 3:6, 16; John 14:12-15; John 16:16; John 16:23-26; Mark
16:17.
Before
an individual is capable of perceiving, comprehending or understanding anything
that is Righteous, Holy, or honest they must come to the knowledge of “Truth”
(Jesus Christ The Only Begotten Son of God) and be born again by The Blood of
Jesus Christ!
Otherwise;
The
individual will be dominated by the spirit of confusion and will continue to
wonder around in disbelief following the spirit of confusion!
John 8:36 If the Son therefore
shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed] If
one is made free from sin by the Son, he is free indeed and is no longer a
servant of sin (Romans 6:16-23; Romans 8:1-13; Galatians 5:16-26; Hebrews
12:14; 1 John 2:29; 1 John 3:6-10; 1 John 5:1-4,18). Greeks permitted a son and heir to adopt
brothers and Romans permitted him to free all slaves that were born in the
house during the father's lifetime.
Remember:
It is NOT a sin to be tempted it becomes sin if the temptation is accepted.
Jesus Christ was tempted of the devil in the wilderness but He (Jesus Christ)
rejected, rebuked and resisted the devil and did NOT commit to or accept the
sin or transgress against His Heavenly Father.
1
John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the
transgression of the law.
1
John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Romans
6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Confirmation:
of it is not a sin to be tempted!
James 1:13-18 Let no man say
when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil,
neither tempteth he any man: [14] But
every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and
enticed. [15] Then when lust hath
conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth
death. [16] Do not err, my beloved brethren. [17] Every good gift and
every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. [18] Of his own will
begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of
firstfruits of his creatures.
God The Heavenly Father,
Jesus Christ The Son of God and
The Holy Ghost “IS”
That which is Good!
Jesus
Christ is good news to the Saints of God but Jesus Christ or The Blood of
Jesus Christ is NOT good news to the devil!
Deut.
12:20-26
When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy
border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because
thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul
lusteth after. [21] If the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to put his
name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy
flock, which the Lord hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt
eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after. [22] Even as the roebuck
and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall
eat of them alike. [23] Only be sure that thou eat not the
blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.
[24] Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.
[25] Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with
thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of
the Lord. [26] Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou
shalt take, and go unto the place which the Lord shall choose:
In the days of God presenting
His commandments to
Israel and delivering them
from the wilderness!
Deut.
12:27-28
And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings,
the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the Lord thy God: and the blood of
thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the Lord thy God, and thou
shalt eat the flesh. [28] Observe
and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee,
and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which
is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God.
Deut.
12:29-13:4
When the Lord thy God shall cut off the
nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou
succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; [30] Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them,
after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods,
saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
[31] Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination
to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their
sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. [32] What
thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor
diminish from it.
[13:1] If there arise among you a prophet,
or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, [2] And the sign or
the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after
other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; [3] Thou shalt
not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for
the Lord your God proveth you,
to know whether ye love the Lord your
God with all your heart and with all your soul. [4] Ye shall walk after the Lord your God,
and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve
him, and cleave unto him.
Deut.
13:5
And that prophet, or that dreamer of
dreams, shall be put to death;
because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought
you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to
thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the
midst of thee.
God sent His Son!
For God so loved the world
Christ became the Supreme Sacrifice for sin
John 3:16-18 For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God
sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world
through him might be saved.
[18]
He that
believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he
hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
It is man’s choice!
Heaven or hell!
